Job summary

Touro University California seeks a Community Relations Manager for the Stockton Region to lead brand awareness and community engagement efforts in collaboration with TU California’s leadership. You will build relationships with community stakeholders, promote TU California programs and services, and represent the university at civic events and meetings.

Required are a public relations/communications background with 3-5 years' experience and strong writing and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related fields, such as public relations and communications; Master's degree preferred.
• 3-5 years' experience in community/public relations or related field, including two years in lead or supervisory roles.
• Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of healthcare and higher education sectors is preferred.
• Strong writing skills for press releases, newsletters, social media content and other outreach material.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a brand awareness campaign in the Stockton region.
• Establish outreach and community relation initiatives to promote programs aligned with Touro University California's goals.
• Identify strategic events and partnerships to enhance brand presence.
• Develop annual community outreach plan and initiatives to grow TU California's involvement.
• Represent TU California at community meetings, boards and events.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to build relationships and resources for engagement.
