Job summary

Williams-Sonoma, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented associate to receive shipments, maintain inventory records, and keep the stockroom organized in Walnut Creek, CA.

You will assist the sales team by replenishing the floor, scanning deliveries, and logging merchandise while ensuring safety and accuracy throughout daily operations. The role requires reliable, energetic teamwork, the ability to lift up to 100 lbs., and open availability for full-time schedules, with weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1-2 years customer service experience preferred and stockroom (or related work) experience.
• Basic product knowledge preferred but not required.
• Effective time management to execute multiple tasks.
• Ability to be mobile in the stockroom or on sales floor for extended periods.
• Proven ability to operate and read scanning equipment for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry medium-to-large items, up to 100 lbs., with proper safety techniques.
• Open availability for full-time; weekend availability for part-time flex.

Responsibilities

• Exemplify high level of customer service to internal and external customers.
• Scan shipment as delivered.
• Stock merchandise in stock room or prepare for distribution to the sales floor.
• Provide feedback to supervisor regarding inventory levels and damages.
• Organize stockroom by department and categories and stock merchandise accordingly.
• Ensure stockroom and aisles are organized and free of obstructions.
• Pack and log merchandise for customer deliveries as needed.
• Move merchandise to remote stockrooms and maintain accurate inventory.
• Maintain clean stockroom and comply with company policies.
