Simplot Company in Caldwell, ID seeks a Stockroom Coordinator (Crew D) to ensure finish goods warehouses operate to high standards and maintain data integrity, supply reliability, and operational excellence.

The role requires handling inventory, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining documentation while following safety and company policies. The position is based on the Pitman shift (6pm–6am) at the GF Idaho Plant in Caldwell.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Familiarity with the JDE system preferred.
• Advanced computer literacy across MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to pass forklift certification (written and practical).
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs repetitively.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate receiving documentation, inventory records and filings.
• Reconciles received materials with packing slips and purchase orders and moves to storage.
• Posts issued materials to inventory records.
• Coordinates outbound shipments per company policies and procedures.
• Maintains inventory levels through regular audits, variance reconciliation, demand forecasting, reorder points, and supplier collaboration.
• Interfaces with vendors to manage inventory needs, deliveries and shipping.
• Communicates clearly (oral and written) with vendors and plant personnel.
• Keeps stockroom organized, accessible and properly rotated.
• Attends training relevant to the position and applies new skills.
• Adheres to safe work practices and company policies; follows compliance requirements.
• Identifies cost-saving opportunities to reduce expenses.
• Delivers excellent customer service by understanding needs, offering quality products/services, and seeking feedback.

Summary

This role will ensure assigned finish goods warehouses perform to Class A standards and deliver operational excellence, data integrity and supply reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate receiving documentation, inventory filed, and records.
• Ensures materials received are reconciled with packing slips and purchase orders and moved to the appropriate storage area.
• Ensures materials issued are posted to inventory records.
• Ensures the shipment of outbound goods is handled according to Simplot's policies and procedures.
• Ensures inventories are maintained at desired levels by conducting regular audits, reconciling stock variances, forecasting demand, setting reorder points, and collaborating effectively with suppliers.
• Interfaces directly with vendors to incorporate all aspects of inventory needs, deliveries, and shipping.
• Ensures communication (oral and written) to vendors and other plant personnel is appropriate, accurate, timely, and courteous.
• Maintains an organized stockroom, ensuring items are easily accessible and rotated.
• Ensures attendance and participation in training activities appropriate to the position and to incorporate acquired skills and knowledge.
• Ensures no injuries to self or others by following safe work practices and policies.
• Ensures self-compliance with Company policies and procedures.
• Look for ways to remove unnecessary costs to the business.
• Ensures excellent customer service by focusing on understanding customer needs, offering quality products/services, personalizing interactions, and actively seeking and acting on feedback.

Typical Education

• Familiar with or capable of learning the JDE system.
