The Opportunity

Purpose:

This position involves duties such as receiving, storing, or selecting in-process parts/items, materials, and supplies, including operating lift trucks for internal pickups/deliveries. Responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, optimizing supply chain processes, and ensuring efficient stock management. Strong organizational skills and effective cross-departmental collaboration are essential.

Essential Duties and Percent of Time Spent

1. Perform stock room duties within the ERP system, including physical handling, placement, and identification of stock items. (80%)
2. Continuously evaluate and improve supply chain efficiency, participate in inventory audits, and maintain data accuracy. (10%)
3. Assist with occasional responsibilities such as supporting planning, purchasing, shipping, and receiving departments. (10%)

Requirements & Education

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 1 year of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of cycle counting and inventory systems; experience with Syteline 9 or similar MRP systems preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Team player with problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.

Knowledge and Skills

• Ability to safely operate pallet jacks and material movement devices.
• Basic math skills, computer literacy, and effective communication skills.

Experience

Minimum of 1 year in a warehouse/distribution center or equivalent.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Semi-temperature controlled indoor environment with safety hazards typical of production shops.
• Frequent physical activity including lifting up to 50 lbs., standing, walking, and manual handling.
