Responsibilities

• Follow transportation schedules for shipment of stock and complete shipping documents.
• Check stock records and invoices for item cost.
• Monitor stock levels to maintain adequate inventory.
• Verify goods received against purchase invoices.
• Keep shelves organized and stock properly placed; alert if stock is low.
• Replenish stock from storeroom as needed.
• Receive, store, and issue materials in warehouse.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job description

SCOPE:

The Stockroom Clerk receives, stores, issues, and delivers materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage area, and keeps inventory records of incoming/outgoing shipments.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Follows transportation schedules for shipment of stock, and completes necessary shipping documents
• Checks records of stock received and shipped, and completes invoices indicating item cost
• Checks estimates of stock need to maintain adequate inventory levels
• Checks goods received against purchase invoices
• Keeps shelves and goods clean and sees that stock is in its proper place and neatly arranged; notifies superiors when stock becomes low
• Replenishes the stock on the shelves from a general storeroom as needed
• Receives, stores, and issues materials and equipment in a warehouse, stockroom or storage area
• Perform other related duties, tasks and or projects , as assigned

• Stockroom methods and procedures

• Keeping accurate records of goods received and shipped
• Establishing and maintaining harmonious working relationships with other employees

Ability to:

• Follow instructions received verbally and in writing
• Fill requisitions and deliver supplies on time, every time.
• Prepare bills of lading showing proper shipping instructions, stock received reports and other reports of work completed
• Routinely lift loads of 25-55 lbs. from floor level to above waists
• Take physical inventories and keeps perpetual inventory records of the quantities of stock on-hand
• Wrap and pack goods for shipment to ensure customer receives undamaged product
