Essential FunctionsRecord inventory data manually or on a computer or handheld electronic deviceDocument discrepancies between inventory records and physical counts of stockReceive, count, and verify outgoing ordersLabel stock items with labeling equipment such as identification tags or stampsSafely operate machinery for moving stock items, such as standing forkliftsProcess shipping requests, requisitions, or purchase ordersDistribute products or materials to store shelves, co-workers, or customersCoordinate with co-workers to accomplish large tasks efficientlyProcess damaged or defective stock per company protocolReport malfunctioning or damaged stock-handling equipment to managementMaintain accurate records of contracts, purchase orders, and requisitionsPrepare documents and reports for transactions or regulatory complianceComply with safety regulations for moving heavy objects and using machineryKeep the stock room neat and orderlyInventory stock of materials, supplies, parts, and merchandisePerform other duties as assigned
