Job summary

Barfield Inc. is seeking a dedicated Stockroom Associate to support the Parts Department and ensure a smooth flow of goods across repair operations, distribution and manufacturing processes.

The role requires attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior stockroom and receiving experience, plus familiarity with Quantum ERP, are a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position in the Atlanta area.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.

• Experience in receiving and stockroom is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Picks and distributes parts from inventory.
• Returns parts to inventory when needed and according to shop requirements.
• Assist Technicians at parts windows and update work orders.
• Maintain organization in the parts room and stock areas.
• Count inventory and maintain accuracy of counts.
• Complete inventory count cycles in a timely manner.

We are looking to hire a dedicated Stockroom Associate to join our team who will support our Parts Department.

Position Summary

The Stockroom Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials throughout the organization, including repair operations, distribution, and manufacturing processes. This position requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced environment.

The Stockroom Associate is responsible for receiving and processing shipments, tracking inventory, managing large quantities of parts, materials, or finished products, coordinating with other departments, and maintaining accurate records.

FLSA – Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Inventory Supervisor

Duties and Responsibilities

• Picks and distributes parts from inventory
• Returns parts to inventory if needed, as determined by shop
• Assist Technicians at the parts windows (handing out parts and updating work orders)
• Maintain organization in the parts room
• Order some supplies as required
• Must be willing to follow company policies and procedures
• Must have the ability, or the willingness to learn data entry
• Understand, write, and read English and a knowledge of basic math
• Must be able to issue correct stock lines, based on control number, to each order as required
• Dexterity with small parts.
• Follow company’s procedures to help maintain parts in inventory
• Help count inventory and maintain accuracy of counts
• Complete inventory count cycles in a timely manner
• Assists other team members with their tasks.

Required Skills

• Able to follow written instructions from manuals or documents.

• Previous Receiving and Stockroom experience is a plus.
