Job summary

The City of Albuquerque is seeking a Print Stockkeeper II to manage stock, inventory and deliveries for the Aviation Department. This role supports purchases, supply and distribution of materials to city departments and requires careful data entry and inspection of deliveries.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED requirement with 3 years in stockkeeping, warehousing or central store operations.
  • Experience managing inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining records.
  • Valid NM driver’s license and COP or ability to obtain by hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the purchase, supply and delivery of materials to City departments.
  • Unload, tag and survey stock; maintain inventory records.
  • Operate stockkeeping equipment safely and inspect deliveries for quantity and quality.
  • Enter purchase orders and requisitions; monitor inventory levels and adjust records as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries and resolve issues related to stock and deliveries.

Position Summary

Participate in the more complex and difficult work of staff responsible for the purchase, supply and delivery of materials, supplies and equipment to City departments and perform a variety of technical tasks relative to assigned areas of responsibility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essentialfunctions may include, but are not limited to the functions listed below. Mustbe able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without areasonable accommodation.

  • Participate in the more complex work of staff responsible for the purchase, supply and delivery of materials, supplies and equipment to City departments.
  • Participate in unloading, tagging and surveying of stock items; maintain inventory records.
  • Utilize and operate a variety of stockkeeping equipment, including material-handling equipment, in a safe and effective manner.
  • Receive and inspect deliveries of stock; verify quantity and quality of material; generate computer reports; ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor inventory levels to assure adequate amount of stock; adjust inventory on shelves and in computer to correct errors.
  • Receive items for disposal; inspect condition and record damage, make, model and quantity; maintain personal property folders.
  • Perform a variety of data entry functions including entering purchase orders, new products and requisitions.
  • Estimate time, materials and equipment required for jobs assigned; requisition materials as required.
  • Respond to public inquiries in a courteous manner; provide information within the area of assignment; resolve complaints in an efficient and timely manner.

Minimum Education, Experience And Additional Requirements

Education directly related to the minimum requirements below may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

High school diploma or GED; and Three (3) years of experience in in any combination of the following areas:

  • stockkeeping
  • warehousing
  • central store operations
Additional Requirements

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.

Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.

When Assigned To The Aviation Department

Possession of a valid New Mexico Driver's License, or the ability to obtain by date of hire.

Possession of a City Operator's Permit (COP) within 6 months from date of hire.

Possession of a Fork-lift Operator Certificate within 6 months from date of hire.

Must be able to successfully qualify for and maintain a Sunport Access Control Card as determined by the criteria set forth by the policies and guidelines of the Aviation Department and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA).

Successful completion of a security background check conducted by U.S. Customs & Border Protection, if applicable.
