Job summary

Horseneck Wine & Spirits, Greenwich Connecticut’s oldest and most prominent wine & spirits shop, is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to join our experienced and efficient team. We are looking for an experienced, affable, and trustworthy person to fill this position.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in the wine, luxury retail or restaurant experience preferred.
• Prior retail experience in the Fairfield / Westchester area.
• An innate desire to get the details right, to work methodically, and to work as a teammate.
• Clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to carry up to 40 lbs up and down a flight of stairs.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• You do not need prior wine knowledge, just a desire to learn a ton.

Responsibilities

• Work in the store including opening and closing responsibilities.
• Stock shelves, receive supplier deliveries, and other general inventory maintenance.
• Deliver top notch hospitality to customers in the store – recommend products, facilitate tastings, pack and gift wrap.
• Answers phones, take and fulfill orders, monitor online orders.
• Deliver orders in and around the Greenwich area.
• Analyze and utilize sales, product, and customer data on an ad hoc basis.
• Assist with in-store tastings, classes, and events from time to time.

Job Description

The Stockist & Driver is a detail-oriented team member. The Stockist & Driver manages the inventory on a day-to-day basis and also works with customers in the store and over the phone to successfully close sales and foster deeper relationships. They help maintain a well-stocked store and participate in all store activities during their shifts. This position reports to the General Manager. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work in the store including opening and closing responsibilities
