Job summary

Action Gypsum Supply is seeking a Stocker Scrapper for the Battery Point project in Crescent City, CA. This part-time, temporary role focuses on safe loading, unloading and stocking of building materials on job sites.

Applicants must be Section 3 or targeted Section 3 workers; a High School Diploma or GED is preferred, forklift certification is a plus. The job involves physical duties and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Reading comprehension to understand basic English work documents.
• Clear communication with management, co-workers and customers.
• Ability to write basic English in daily reports and paperwork.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Stock building materials at job sites using company provided equipment.
• Perform daily job site analysis to ensure safe handling and placing of building materials at job sites.
• Coordinate all wallboard counts and job site pictures; send pictures of completed stocks to stocking superintendent.
• Stock material following ticket instructions and stocking supervisor/crew leader directions.
• Maintain constant communication with stocking supervisor and crew to avoid stocking errors.
• Coordinate all shoring pick and delivery.
• Update and maintain shoring logs.
• Turn in completed paperwork daily.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with supervisor and stocking crew to improve overall service.
