Job summary

Homeland is seeking a motivated Food Clerk-Stocker to greet customers, stock and merchandise displays, and maintain perishable items with a strong emphasis on safety and accuracy. The role requires basic math and the ability to operate common store equipment such as pallet jacks, balers, and case cutters.

Qualifications

• Greet customers and assist with product questions.
• Basic Mathematics skills including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing.
• Prior experience in a related field or industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, assist, and lead customers to products politely.
• Actively stock, merchandise, and correct product displays.
• Maintain perishables and stay up to date on safety procedures.
• Move goods within the department and ensure organization.
• Check pricing and expiration dates and maintain Health & Safety standards.
• Operate pallet jack and related equipment safely (18+).
• Move damaged or unsalable items to backroom for reclaim.
• Respond promptly and politely to customer, coworker, and vendor questions.

Apply here today!Oklahomans Feeding Oklahomans.Food Clerk-StockerPrimary ResponsibilitiesGreet, assist, and lead customers to product politelyActively stock, merchandise, and correct productBuild and fill displays as neededMaintain company standards for perishables and stay up to date on all active safety proceduresTransportation of goods within departmentEnsuring Health and Safety Codes, checking for pricing and expiration, and maintaining an organizational standard area.To perform miscellaneous tasks assigned by supervisors and managers, assisting within other departments as needed to service customers.Stay up to date and in congruence with Health and Safety standards, as well as holding a working knowledge of cleaning supplies and various chemicals and machines within the department.The capability to understand merchandising labels, warehouse order codes, numbers, reports, printed paper invoices and order forms.Ability to comprehend and provide complex verbal instructions and descriptions concerning store policy and procedures, and usage of equipment.To assure the safety of self, customers and co-workers by understanding and practicing store safety rules and notifying a supervisor of any potential hazard immediately.
