Episcopal Retirement Services is hiring a STNA/Versatile Worker for Marjorie P. Lee Retirement Community in Cincinnati, OH. The role covers night shift 11pm-7am as part of a supportive caregiving team.

Responsibilities include providing resident-centered care, responding to call lights promptly, and assisting with activities of daily living while adhering to safety and infection-control policies. Benefits and opportunities for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aide certification.
• Ability to lift/move 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to relate to and work with aging population with people-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Provide People Centered care (grooming, bathing, feeding, activities).
• Answer call lights within 60 seconds.
• Maintain resident abilities using restorative programs.
• Maintain clean, safe living environment in rooms, dining areas and halls.
• Follow infection control policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Update resident information in medical records.
• Notify charge nurse of changes in resident condition or concerns.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aid certification.
• Have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally.

As an STNA/Versatile Worker you can expect to:

• STNA provides People Centered care to residents including but not limited to: grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and all other matters of individualized care.
• STNA answers call lights, verbally or in person within 60 seconds.
• STNA maintains resident functional abilities at optimum level by using the restorative devises and programs as ordered.
• STNA maintains a clean, safe and inviting living environment for residents by keeping rooms, dining areas, halls and other common areas free of clutter, soiled items, debris and odor.
• STNA follows facility policies and procedures for infection control by practicing standard precautions and following OSHA guidelines for handling blood and other potentially infectious materials.
• STNA reads, understands, implements and evaluates the residents current Plan of Care.
• STNA using our computerized medical records systems, updates all resident-related information and completes other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• STNA ensures that the charge/care team nurse is notified in a timely manner of changes in resident condition family and or resident concerns, malfunctioning equipment, material shortages, and other pertinent observations.

The ideal candidate will have experience caring for residents with dementia and working in long-term care.Under direct supervision and working in a team environment this position provides for the daily personal physical, psycho-social and spiritual needs, activities of daily living and comfort of our residents in accordance with our established policies, procedures, and team standards.
