Episcopal Retirement Services is seeking a STNA/Versatile Worker for Deupree Cottages, part-time 7A-3P, in Cincinnati, OH. Join a team recognized for a positive culture and strong commitment to residents’ well-being.

You will provide compassionate, person-centered care, assist with activities, and support daily living tasks while adhering to safety and infection control guidelines. The role supports residents across a community setting with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio State tested nurse aide certification (STNA).
• Ability to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs regularly and 100 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to relate to and work with the aging population with people-centered care.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide Person-Centered care including grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and other care tasks.
• Answer call lights verbally or in person in a timely manner.
• Maintain resident functional abilities using restorative programs as ordered.
• Follow facility infection control policies and OSHA guidelines for safety and handling materials.
• Review and update resident plans of care in the system.
• Assist with daily homemaking tasks and environmental upkeep in resident rooms and common areas.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Hold an active Ohio State tested nurse aid certification.
• Have the ability, with or without reasonable accommodation, to lift, push, pull or move 50 lbs on a regular basis and 100 lbs occasionally.

As an STNA/Versatile Worker you can expect to:

• STNA provides People Centered care to residents including but not limited to: grooming, bathing, feeding, activities, and all other matters of individualized care.
• STNA answers call lights, verbally or in person within a timely manner.
• STNA maintains resident functional abilities at optimum level by using the restorative devises and programs as ordered.
• STNA follows facility policies and procedures for infection control by practicing standard precautions and following OSHA guidelines for handling blood and other potentially infectious materials.
• STNA reads, understands, implements and evaluates the residents current Plan of Care.
• STNA using our computerized medical records systems, updates all resident-related information and completes other administrative responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner.
• STNA Is responsible for day-to-day homemaking functions such as cleaning (including meal clean-up), polishing, sanitizing, sweeping, vacuuming, etc., all environmental surfaces, in both resident rooms and common areas of the household (floor, ceiling, walls, fixtures, furniture, appliances), ensuring that established Infection Control practices and safety precautions are followed at all times.
• STNA assists residents as needed to wash, mend, iron, fold, sort, and care for personal laundry.
• STNA upon a room vacancy, performs deep cleaning; prepares rooms in anticipation of new household members according to their wishes and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
