Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, feeding).

• Assist with mobility, transfers, ambulation and positioning.
• Support meal service and assistance with feeding when needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe living environment.

St. Luke Lutheran Community is seeking compassionate State-Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs) to join our team at our beautiful Portage Lakes campus, located right near Turkeyfoot Lake in Akron, Ohio. Our campus offers a smaller, close-knit setting with lower-acuity residents, allowing our caregivers to spend more meaningful time with those they serve. STNA Schedule (8 Hour Shifts)

• Part-Time Days: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

• Full-Time / Part-Time Evenings: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM

• Part-Time Nights: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required.

Availability of preferred shifts will be confirmed during the interview process and may change based on staffing needs.

STNA Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.

• Report changes in condition promptly to licensed nursing staff.

• Assist residents with mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning.

• Promote dignity, compassion, and respect in every resident interaction.

STNA Requirements

• Active State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification in Ohio.
