Job summary

The Avenue at Brooklyn is a post-hospital rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility in Brooklyn, OH, offering day shift opportunities for full-time or part-time staff. You will provide hands-on care to residents, helping with daily living activities in a newly built setting with private rooms and bathrooms.

You will assist with hygiene, feeding, and basic care under the charge nurse, while observing emotional needs and reporting changes.

Qualifications

• Must have completed a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) program, or be enrolled and complete within four months.

Responsibilities

• Provide hygiene assistance to residents.
• Assist residents with feeding and daily living needs.
• Perform basic treatments and procedures as directed by the charge nurse.
• Observe and report residents' psycho-social and emotional needs.
• Notify the Charge Nurse of changes in residents' conditions.
• Maintain a clean and neat personal appearance.
• Demonstrate respectful and professional behavior toward coworkers and facility contacts.
• Follow OSHA guidelines for handling and storing chemicals and equipment.
• Attend required in-service training programs.
• Assist in other areas as directed by the Director of Nursing.

We are looking for caring and dependable individuals to join our team asState Tested Nursing Assistants (STNAs). In this essential role, you will provide hands‑on care and emotional support to residents, helping them with daily living activities and contributing to a safe, clean, and compassionate environment. Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for extended periods

• Lift up to 50 pounds

• Frequent bending, turning, pushing, and pulling

• Use of both hands and arms

• Exposure to odors, body secretions, and excrements

• Potential exposure to behavioral disorders

• Must be able to manage interpersonal conflicts effectively
