Job summary

Crossroads Hospice & Palliative Care in Ohio seeks a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) to join our compassionate team. You will provide bedside care, support patients and families, and work with an interdisciplinary group to uphold the highest standard of end-of-life care.

The role requires an Ohio 75-hour competency test, a current unrestricted CNA certification, and at least 1 year of hospice or CNA experience. Schedule is Mon–Fri, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM, with travel to Green, OH as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have completed the Ohio competency test with a minimum 75 hours.
• Must be state-certified as a nurses' aide with an unrestricted, active certification.
• At least 1 year of current hospice or CNA experience is required.
• Interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and the care team.
• Ability to learn clinical software and electronic clinical records.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and bedside assistance in a hospice setting.
• Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to ensure quality care.
• Support patients and families during end-of-life moments with dignity and respect.
• Utilize required clinical software and electronic health records during care.
• Travel to the Green, OH office as needed and work Monday to Friday.

STNA (CNA) Qualifications:

• Must have completed an Ohio State Department of Health Competency Test from an accredited program with a minimum requirement of 75 hours of certification
• Must be certified by the state as a nurses' aide with an unrestricted, active aide certification
• 1 year of current experience as a Hospice Aide or Nurses Aide is required
• Hospice or Home Health Agency experience preferred
• Must possess interpersonal skills sufficient to interact effectively with patients and their families, as well as all interdisciplinary caregivers, peers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Must exhibit or demonstrate the ability to learn computer skills related to required clinical software and electronic clinical record utilization
• Must have reliable vehicle/transportation, valid driver's license, required automobile insurance, and the ability to safely and independently operate said vehicle
