Job summary

The Village of St. Edward, a not-for-profit skilled nursing facility in Ohio, is hiring a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) for full-time shifts 32-40 hours per week.

The position features 3pm-11:30pm hours with every other weekend and holiday rotation, a supportive team, and a compassionate work environment. You will assist residents with personal care, mobility, and daily activities under the direction of licensed nursing staff.

Qualifications

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification required.
• Experience in skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care for residents as delegated by the nurse.

Summary Of Position
In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.
Requirements:

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification).
• High school education or equivalent
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
