Job summary

The Village of St. Edward is seeking a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) for the skilled nursing facility on the afternoon shift (3pm-11:30pm), eight hours per week, alternating weekends and holidays.

As an STNA you will provide for personal care needs and assist the nurse; we offer a welcoming environment, low resident-to-staff ratios, ongoing training, opportunities for advancement, and a not-for-profit mission rooted in compassionate service.

Qualifications

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification is required.
• High school education or equivalent required.
• Experience in a SNF setting preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical.
• Able to work weekend/holiday rotation.

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the STNA (State Tested Nurse Assistant) provides for the personal care needs of residents and provides assistance and activities as delegated by the nurse.

Requirements

• Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA certification).
• High school education or equivalent
• Experience within SNF preferred.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical
• Full time/Part Time positions must be ablet to work weekend/holiday rotation
• Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds independently and over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Possesses the necessary dexterity to feed, bathe, etc.
• Possesses the ability to bend, stoop, and reach at different angles.
• Walks, stands, and sits intermittently throughout the day.
• Well-lighted, well-ventilated rooms and halls.
• Must understand infection control performance.
• Must be able to utilize therapeutic communication.
• Must communicate professionally and with empathy to residents, families, visitors and coworkers
• Required to make independent decisions.
• Required to assist in response to emergency situations.
