Job summary

Alternate Solutions Home Health Columbus is seeking a Home Health Aide to assist patients in their homes under nurse supervision. You will support daily living activities, safety, and comfort, while following each patient’s plan of care.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, STNA/CNA certification and at least one year of experience. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are necessary. Training and scheduling are indicated in the posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• STNA credential or completion of a 75-hour nurse aide training program (CNA).
• One year of verifiable nurse aide experience under RN supervision.
• Score 80%+ on the skills competency test.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and personal care.
• Help with meals, laundry, and light housekeeping as needed.
• Support safe transfers, walking, and prescribed exercises.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions.
• Complete visit documentation within 24 hours.

Alternate Solutions Home Health Columbus Schedule: Monday-Friday (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM)

Make a difference - one patient, one visit at a time. Bring your compassion and caregiving skills to Alternate Solutions Home Health Columbus! As a Home Health Aide, you’ll work under a nurse’s supervision to help patients feel safe, comfortable, and supported in their homes.

What You’ll Do

• Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
• Help with meals, laundry, and light housekeeping as needed.
• Support safe transfers, walking, and prescribed exercises.
• Observe and report changes in patients' conditions.
• Complete visit documentation within 24 hours.
• Travel to scheduled patient visits and follow each patient’s plan of care within your scope of practice.

What You’ll Bring

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA) credential or completion of a 75-hour nurse aide training program (CNA).
• One year of verifiable nurse aide experience under an RN’s direct supervision.
• A score of 80% or higher on the skills competency test.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance listing you as a driver.
• Ability to safely perform hands-on care, including lifting, transferring, and bathing.
• A caring attitude, strong communication skills, and dependable attendance.
• Must complete required training, including 12 hours of annual in-services.
