Job summary

Our Daily Bread Ministries is seeking a Stitch Machine Operator – Level 2 to run and support stitch and ancillary equipment in our Print Finishing department in Grand Rapids, MI. This role helps keep production moving safely and efficiently, meeting quality, productivity, and KPI standards for printed resources distributed worldwide.

Qualifications

Mechanical aptitude and dexterity; learn new technical processes and troubleshoot equipment.
High attention to detail and ability to multitask and create solutions.
Basic computer skills; production and scheduling systems training provided.
Ability to stand for long periods with repetitive motion and lift 35+ pounds; work safely around machinery.

Responsibilities

Operate and assist other operators on stitch and ancillary equipment, with command of job specs and machine parameters.
Perform minor maintenance and repairs; troubleshoot malfunctions and material quality issues.
Track time, productivity, maintenance issues, and quality using production and scheduling systems.
Support fulfillment and warehousing; prepare and complete necessary paperwork.
