Job description

Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking an Operations Research Analyst who integrates directly with Combatant Commands (CCMDs), SOUTHCOM, and interagency partners to drive, refine, and support emerging and time‑sensitive intelligence requirements. The role applies expertise in operations, intelligence analysis, data‑driven methodologies, and collection strategy to improve mission outcomes across counter‑drug, counter‑TCO, and counterterrorism efforts.

The analyst provides technical guidance, develops site‑specific continuity procedures, and synchronizes intelligence requirements between the customer and the GOST analytical support cell. This position fuses multi‑discipline intelligence sources, identifies and evaluates data streams, and applies advanced research and analytical methods to assess threat networks and operational patterns.

Leveraging commercial, open‑source, HUMINT, SIGINT, law enforcement, and geospatial data, the analyst produces comprehensive network analysis, tailored data‑visualization products, and actionable intelligence reporting. All products undergo rigorous QA/QC to ensure clarity, accuracy, and analytic rigor.

This requisition supports hiring at multiple experience levels. Final placement will be determined based on the selected applicant’s qualifications, experience, and skill sets.

What You Will Do
  • Integrate with CCMD, SOUTHCOM, and interagency partners to identify, refine, and support high‑priority intelligence requirements.
  • Conduct all‑source research and network development analysis on designated Foreign Terrorist Organizations (FTOs) and Transnational Criminal Organizations (TCOs) within the SOUTHCOM AOR in support of Operation SOUTHERN SPEAR.
  • Apply operational research methodologies and analytical expertise to inform mission planning, targeting, and intelligence production.
  • Evaluate HUMINT, SIGINT, and law enforcement intelligence reporting; assess credibility; corroborate findings; and provide structured feedback to collection and reporting elements.
  • Liaise with interagency HUMINT, CI, and law enforcement representatives to provide network briefs, respond to RFIs, close intelligence gaps, and coordinate collection support.
  • Serve as a liaison between the customer and GOST analytical support cell to synchronize intelligence requirements, data flow, and analytic outputs.
  • Fuse multi‑discipline intelligence sources to assess illicit networks, threat activity, and operational drivers.
  • Develop tailored analytic data‑visualization products on narcotics‑trafficking networks for inclusion in Battle Update Briefs to the SOUTHCOM Combatant Commander, adhering to ICD‑203 analytic tradecraft standards.
  • Conduct advanced data mining, research, and structured queries using commercial, open‑source, and geospatial data.
  • Support SOUTHCOM target nominations, target significance statements, and lead‑data vetting.
  • Produce high‑quality written intelligence products aligned with mission requirements and operational timelines.
  • Perform comprehensive QA/QC of intelligence products to ensure accuracy, clarity, and analytical soundness.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of emerging OSINT tools, analytic methodologies, and data‑exploitation technologies.
  • Other duties may be assigned.
