MacDermid Alpha Electronics Solutions, a business segment of Element Solutions Inc, is seeking an sTIM Extrusion/Mill Operator for overnight 12-hour shifts in Chicago. This role supports wafer-level packaging, circuitry solutions, and advanced materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–2 years of manufacturing, production, or related experience.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Experience using hand tools and basic manufacturing equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production equipment per standard work instructions.
• Load and unload materials, components, and finished products.
• Perform assembly, machine operation, packaging, and other manufacturing tasks.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality requirements and specifications.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles.
• Assist with equipment changeovers and basic setup activities.
• Monitor equipment performance and report concerns.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Support daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking motivated and dependable individuals who are interested in building a career in manufacturing. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, eager to learn, and enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment. Whether you are new to manufacturing or have previous production experience, you take pride in producing quality work, following established procedures, and contributing to a team’s success.

This position follows a 12-hour overnight schedule, which includes a rotating pattern of 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on (and vice versa), resulting in a mix of 3- and 4-day workweeks. The schedule includes nights and weekends as part of the rotation. Candidates must be willing and able to work this schedule. This role is also eligible for a shift differential 15% added to standard hourly rates.

What will you be doing?

Operate production equipment in accordance with standard work instructionsLoad and unload materials, components, and finished products

Perform assembly, machine operation, packaging, and other manufacturing tasksInspect products to ensure they meet quality requirements and specifications

Complete production records and documentation accurately

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S principles

Assist with equipment changeovers and basic setup activities

Monitor equipment performance and report operational, quality, or safety concerns

Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices

Support the achievement of daily production, quality, and efficiency goals
