Job summary

CoreCivic is seeking a Security Threat Group (STG) Officer to identify and monitor offender groups that may threaten staff, inmates, the facility, or the community. The role involves gathering intelligence, maintaining documentation, and sharing information with appropriate partners and law enforcement agencies.

Responsibilities include reviewing daily STG rosters, investigating incidents, interviewing witnesses, and maintaining chain of custody of evidence.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent is required.
• Two years of experience in a criminal justice field is required.
• One year of corrections experience, including care and custody of inmates/offenders is required.
• FDLE certification or eligibility for certification as a Correctional Officer is required.
• Must be available to work any hours, any shift.

Responsibilities

• Review daily roster of STG members and monitor STG activity.
• Conduct investigations of STG incidents or activity and gather witness statements.
• Document and maintain evidence with chain of custody.
• Interview incoming inmates to assess STG classification and coordinate housing.
• Assess risks and monitor unusual or suspicious activity.
