Job summary

St. Paul’s School is seeking a Stewardship Coordinator to build and execute a comprehensive stewardship and recognition program that honors donors and inspires continued support.

You will manage endowment and annual giving reports, develop acknowledgments, and coordinate donor communications across stakeholders. The role emphasizes accuracy, organization, and timely execution to deliver high-quality, personalized stewardship that fosters long-term philanthropy.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (liberal arts or business focus preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and high attention to detail.
  • Collaborate effectively to produce reports, correspondence and acknowledgments in a variety of voices.
  • Analyze, understand and organize financial data.
  • Develop effective interpersonal relationships with donors and volunteers on professional and social bases.

Responsibilities

  • Act as point person for preparing endowment fund impact reports for donors and fund contacts, along with impact reports for various giving initiatives in collaboration with the various stakeholders.
  • Process, design and implement gift acknowledgment processes.
  • Lead donor recognition initiatives and tailor stewardship for special gifts.
  • Oversee production of the endowment fund report and annual giving report in collaboration with Advancement and Communications Office.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Leadership and Gift Officers to craft stewardship pieces for donors.
  • Refine stewardship activities and develop innovative donor recognition methods.
  • Coordinate leadership gift recognition with Communications, leadership gift officers, and Rector’s Office.
  • Lead creation and maintenance of donor recognition plaques and related events.
  • Coordinate nominations and promotions for awards and prizes for donor reporting.
  • Assist with other Advancement activities as assigned.

The stewardship coordinator is responsible for building upon and executing a comprehensive stewardship and recognition program that embodies the mission of St. Paul’s School, meaningfully conveys gratitude and recognition to donors at every level and inspires them to continue their support of St. Paul’s School. This includes creating, implementing, and managing acknowledgements and impact reports as well as coordinating donor-related communications. The stewardship coordinator ensures a high level of accuracy, organization, and timely execution so that donors experience high-quality, personalized stewardship that fosters long term philanthropic support for SPS. This role accomplishes these objectives via four key areas: gift acceptance and management, acknowledgment, reporting, and donor recognition.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Act as point person for preparing endowment fund impact reports for donors and fund contacts, along with impact reports for various giving initiatives in collaboration with the various stakeholders.
  • Process, design and implement gift acknowledgment processes.
  • Serve as a partner to fundraisers at every level to help support, enhance and strengthen their stewardship efforts; design individualized stewardship/recognition for special gifts; and create and participate in new and imaginative ways to build meaningful relationships with donors.
  • Manage and oversee production of the endowment fund report and the annual report of giving in collaboration with the Advancement and Communications Office.
  • Collaborate with Advancement Leadership, Development Writer, and Gift Officers to craft compelling stewardship pieces for donors.
  • Refine and rethink current stewardship activities and develop innovative and effective ways for donor recognition and correspondence.
  • Coordinate leadership gift-giving recognition processes in conjunction with Communications, leadership gift officers, annual giving staff, and the Rector’s Office.
  • Lead the creation, maintenance, and execution of donor recognition plaques and support related events (i.e., dedications) as well as other donor recognition events.
  • Strategize with designated faculty and staff members to ensure appropriate and timely assignment of select awards and prizes for donor reporting purposes by assisting with coordination of nominations and promotion.
  • Collaborate with frontline fundraisers and advancement leadership to enhance ad-hoc stewardship activities.
  • Assist with other Advancement activities as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

  • While performing the duties of this job, would occasionally be required to stand, walk, sit for long periods of time, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop or kneel, talk and hear, and use fingers and hands to feel objects, tools or controls.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, depth perceptions, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to climb stairs and be capable of using visual display keyboard with continuous wrist movement on a keyboard and mouse.
  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
