Job summary

The Tb-Isle-Resort-Lp is seeking a Stewarding Driver to deliver food, supplies and other items to service areas using a company vehicle. You will also transport waste and keep kitchen areas and equipment clean and orderly.

You must have a valid driver's license, at least one year in a steward role, and be able to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends. English communication is essential; second language is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience as a Steward or equivalent.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Ability to communicate in English; second language is a plus.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling, cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

• Loads items, equipment or waste onto truck with assistance from co-workers in a safe, orderly manner.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers and trash compactors.
• Clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment routinely used in the kitchen.
• Ensure the kitchen/dish washing station is clean, well maintained and organized at all times.
• Distribute supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Dispose of waste according to hotel standards and recycling guidelines.
• Wash, wipe, sort, stack dishes and load/unload dishwasher.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned vehicle/truck.

Scope of PositionThe primary focus of the Stewarding Driver is to deliver food, supplies and other products to areas of service using a company vehicle. Second language is a plus.Ability to work flexible schedules including holidays and weekends and able to perform multiple tasks.Able to handle high heat and moisture.Knowledge of basic food handling policies and procedures as well as the techniques and equipment for preparing and presenting food products for consumption, including storage/handling techniques, proper chemical handling, and sanitation standards.Physical RequirementsMust be able to work in a fast paced environment.Must be physically fit in order to lift, pull and push items up to 50 pounds.Also requires reaching overhead/standing/walking/reaching and bending throughout shift.
