Job summary

Fairmont Austin, Austin's premier luxury property, is seeking a dedicated dishwasher to support high-service standards. You will operate a dish machine, hand-sanitize pots, and ensure clean dishes, glassware and utensils for a busy kitchen and banquets team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience not required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities.

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment.
• Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate an industrial dish machine and other cleaning equipment.
• Ensure all Colleagues have the dishes, silverware and glasses required.
• Sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dish machine.
• Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner.
• Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and dishes by hand and using dish machines.
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards.

Job Description

Reporting to the Executive Steward, responsibilities and essential job functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly and proactive guest service while supporting fellow Colleagues
• Operate an industrial dish machine and other cleaning equipment
• Ensure all Colleagues have the dishes, silverware and glasses required
• Sort, stack dishes, and load/unload dish machine
• Sort, stack and store all cleaned items in an organized and safe manner
• Ensure all broken and chipped items are removed from circulation, reported and inventoriedEnsure floors are dry and clean at all times
• Remove debris and trash to designated areas throughout shift
• Clean and sanitize all pots, pans, and dishes by hand and using dish machines
• Follow department policies, procedures and service standards
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, including all equipment and storage spaces
• Other duties as assigned
