Job summary

The Chatham Inn, a Relais & Châteaux and Forbes Five-Star hotel on Cape Cod, invites qualified individuals to join our kitchen stewardship team. The role focuses on dishwashing, maintaining clean, safe work areas, and supporting a vibrant, community-driven dining program at Cuvée Bistro.

We offer a hiring bonus of $500 paid in three installments and a supportive, equal-opportunity workplace within Noble House Hotels & Resorts.

• Experience in a similar position is preferred.
• Communicate effectively in English with guests, management, and co-workers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, workstations, and equipment.
• Ensure all areas are free from debris and hazards.
• Properly dispose of waste and recyclables.
• Maintain cleanliness in trash disposal areas.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling and sanitation practices.
• Safely operate and maintain dishwashing equipment.
• Report any malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Cuvée Bistro at The Chatham Inn is evolving into a relaxed, approachable coastal bistro with Mediterranean and French influences. We are moving away from a traditional fine‑dining model toward something more vibrant, welcoming, and community‑driven — while maintaining the polish and standards expected of a Relais & Châteaux and Forbes-recognized property.

Hiring Bonus Available: $500 paid out in three (3) installments - $200 at 30 days of employment; $150 at 60 days of employment; and $150 at 90 days of employment. Please note: This hiring bonus is subject to all withholdings and deductions as required by law.

A day in the life...

The steward is to clean and maintain equipment and areas such as Dishwashing/ Kitchen/ Cafeteria/ Compactor and Storage according to hotel specifications and standards. Wash pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils and equipment. Assign other cleaning projects as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate dishwashing machines and manually wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils.

• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, including floors, walls, workstations, and equipment.
• Ensure all areas are free from debris and hazards.
