Job summary

Hyatt Regency Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino is hiring a part-time Steward to maintain the cleanliness of kitchenware and support the culinary operation. You will operate dishwashing equipment, manage waste, and ensure safety and sanitation across stewarding areas.

The role requires physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, endurance to stand for long periods, and flexible availability including nights and weekends. Prior stewarding or kitchen experience is a plus but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Previous stewarding or kitchen experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all kitchenware including china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils.
• Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment as directed.
• Remove trash and recyclables and keep stewarding areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Restock supplies and assist with food preparation support as needed.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures in line with food safety standards.
• Collaborate with culinary and service teams to support kitchen efficiency.
• Provide courteous service and assistance to colleagues and occasionally guests.

Summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain the cleanliness of all hotel kitchenware including china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and utensils


• Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment as directed


• Remove trash and recyclables and ensure kitchen and stewarding areas are clean, organized, and safe


• Restock supplies and assist with food preparation support as needed


• Follow proper sanitation and safety procedures in compliance with food safety standards


• Collaborate with the culinary and service teams to support overall kitchen efficiency


• Provide courteous service and assistance to colleagues and occasionally guests
