Job description

Join to apply for the Steward/Dishwasher PM Shift role at Pacific Palms Resort.

Maintain cleanliness and organization within all back of house Food & Beverage areas. This is a PM shift position. The position pays $18.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

1. Clean the kitchen, including all kitchen equipment and implements. This includes cleaning kitchen hoods, walls, ceilings, and the exterior of all kitchen equipment such as doors, walls, and handles.
2. Clean employee cafeteria equipment, including walls, steam tables, refrigerators, warmers, etc.
3. Clean the kitchen floor and wash floor mats.
4. Pick up all refuse in the kitchen, empty trashcans, and clean them.
5. Clean the loading dock area, including the floor and organization.
6. Follow dumpster procedures.
7. Knowledge of floor maintenance, including equipment and chemicals used.
8. Transport equipment such as mats and trashcans.
9. Knowledge of chemical use in cleaning, adhering to OSHA standards.
10. Clean pots, pans, and other cookware and utensils as requested.
11. Keep the cookware washing area clean and organized, including around the dish machine.
12. Ensure dish machines are properly cleaned and maintained.
13. Store cleaning supplies properly and organize chemical supplies.
14. Complete other duties as assigned and respond to management requests.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dishwashing and pot cleaning in a kitchen environment.
• Experience in food & beverage preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Food Handler's certificate as required by the county.
• Customer service skills.
• Basic kitchen knowledge and sanitation practices.
• Ability to work well in a team and maintain a positive personality.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• This is a full-time position.
