Job summary

Spruce Peak at Stowe Resort is seeking a Steward to help maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen. The role includes washing dishes, cookware, and utensils, restocking supplies, and assisting with cleaning tasks throughout the culinary operation.

Qualifications

• Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate commercial dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
• Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of dish room and kitchen areas.
• Remove trash and recycling regularly and transport to designated disposal areas.
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors, ensuring all work areas remain clean and safe.
• Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces and kitchen equipment as directed.
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries when needed.
• Restock kitchen supplies, chemicals, and disposables as required.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety standards.
• Support cooks and culinary staff with basic cleaning and organizational tasks.
• Assist with end-of-shift and deep-cleaning projects.

The Steward plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment. This position is responsible for washing dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as assisting with general cleaning and sanitation duties throughout the culinary operation.
