Commerce Casino is seeking a dedicated kitchen support associate to maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, service ware and equipment. You will follow cleaning schedules, wash dishes, and operate the dishwasher.

Position requires ability to lift heavy items, stand for long periods, and be available for full-time hours including graveyard, swing shifts, weekends and holidays.

Competenze

• Knowledge of safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Must have a food handler card/certification.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds up to 20 times and push 100 pounds for duties.
• Ability to stand and walk the full shift.
• Attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Wash utensils, cups, glassware, dishes and items used in Food & Beverage.
• Operate an automatic dishwasher.
• Empty and transport trash to central receptacles.

• Assist supervisors in setting up/taking down functions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Sous Chef.
• Be able to work full-time during tournaments and peak periods.
• Work overtime as needed.

*** THIS POSITION WORKS A VARIETY OF SHIFTS INCLUDING GRAVEYARD, SWING, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. ***

PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of kitchen areas, service ware, preparation equipment, utensils, and disposal waste.
2. Follows daily cleaning schedules.
3. Washes utensils, cups, glassware, dishes and other items used in the Food & Beverage Department.
4. Ability to operate an automatic dishwasher.
5. Empties and transports trash to central receptacles.
6. Assists cooks as needed to slice vegetables, etc.
7. Assists supervisors in setting up and taking down various company functions.
8. Performs all other work-related duties as assigned by the Sous Chef.
9. Must be able to work a full-time schedule during tournaments and other peak business periods.
10. Must be able to work overtime, as business needs require, with or without advance notice.

QUALIFICATIONS

Work Experience Required:

• Previous work experience preferred but not necessary.

Education:

• Must to able to communicate in basic English.

Other Requirements:

• Knowledge of Safety and Sanitation guidelines as set forth in individual job manuals.
• Must have a food handler card/ certification.
• Ability to lift fifty (50) pounds up to twenty (20) times and push up to one hundred (100) pounds for various job related duties, throughout and eight (8) hour shift.
• Ability to stand and walk the entire shift excluding breaks and meal periods.
• Must demonstrate positive/enthusiastic approach to all assignments.
• Must be clean, well-groomed, and have a professional appearance per company standards.
• Attendance and punctuality are an essential function of the position.

SCHEDULED HOURS

Commerce Casino operates 24 hours, 7 days a week. Schedules may vary depending on business needs.
