Job summary

Pyramid Global Hospitality seeks a Kitchen Steward to join the Inn at Perry Cabin on the Eastern Shore. You will prepare and wash dishes, maintain clean stations, assist in food preparation, and support the chef in daily culinary tasks within a luxury resort environment.

We require Food Handling and Sanitation certificates and enrollment in a culinary training program. The role offers a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative team focused on service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions per standards.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.

Job Summary

What you will have an opportunity to do:

Prepare food items in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. Perform routine kitchen duties, as well as a variety of station specific tasks that require planning and organization to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Essential Job Functions

• Maintains a clean kitchen, properly washes and sorts soiled dishes, and preps foods as needed. Keeps dish area free of clutter and organized.
• Sets up dish stations, including dish machines and sinks.
• Maintains clean / dry floors throughout the shift.
• Properly washes, stacks, and stores china, glassware, silverware, cookware, and storage containers.
• Changes water of machines and sinks every two hours, or more often as required by business levels, and properly uses chemical dilutions per standards.
• Assists in the timely storing of food deliveries.
• Maintains trash cans throughout shift and removes full trashcans and boxes at the end of each shift.
• Maintains the dry storage area and the organization of storage shelves.
• Follows the posted daily dish cleaning duties.
• Maintains cleanliness and supplies in the employee cafeteria
• Assists in food prep and any other duties set forth or requested by the chef as needed
• Additional duties as assigned by management.

• Regularly required to stand, walk, talk and hear. Requires manual dexterity sufficient to operate standard kitchen equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and vision.

• Ability to stand for hours while occasionally reaching, twisting, squatting, bending, and leaning.

Work Environment

• Interior of kitchen - occasional exposure to direct sunlight, high humidity, extremes of heat and cold, noise, and other conditions associated with a culinary environment.
