Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Steward (Dishwasher) to join our Dining Services team. This role is essential in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in our kitchen and dining areas. Ideal candidates are team players who take pride in their work and are motivated by serving others.
Responsibilities:
Operate dishwashing equipment to clean and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including floors, walls, and trash receptacles
Assist in basic food prep and kitchen tasks as needed
Follow safety and sanitation standards in accordance with health regulations
Support other kitchen and dining staff to ensure smooth meal service
Qualifications:
Previous dishwashing or kitchen experience preferred, but not required – we are willing to train the right person
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Strong work ethic and attention to cleanliness and detail
Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
