Job summary

HHM Hotels in El Paso is seeking a Steward/Dishwasher to perform dishwashing and kitchen cleaning. The role supports daily kitchen operations, stocking, and sanitation, contributing to overall guest satisfaction.

You will stand for extended periods, handle heavy trays, and work flexible shifts including holidays and weekends. Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and experience in stewarding; training will be provided for kitchen equipment and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous stewarding experience required or equivalent training.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans.
• Operate dishwashing and other kitchen cleaning equipment.
• Place clean dishes, utensils, or cooking equipment in storage areas.
• Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, or utensils in clean and orderly condition.
• Stock supplies in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, or salad bars.
• Sweep and wash floors and clean trash cans.
• Sort and remove trash to designated pickup areas.
• Perform food preparation functions in case of staffing shortages or peak periods.
• Be mindful of guest satisfaction scores and help improve departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
• Follow sustainability guidelines with HHM’s EarthView program.
• Practice safe work habits, wear protective gear and follow MSDS/OSHA standards.
• Perform other duties as requested by management.

Your Background and Skills

• HighSchool diploma or equivalent preferred.

Work Environment and Context

• Work schedule varies and may include working on holidays, and weekends, etc.
• Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, lifting up to 50 pounds, bending and reaching, stooping and kneeling.
