Job summary

Halcyon in Denver, CO is seeking a Steward / Dishwasher to maintain a clean, organized kitchen and assist with basic prep to support a smooth dining service. You will load and unload dishwashing machines, wash items by hand, and store clean dishes and equipment.

This full‑time role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with a team to meet peak hours. The position participates in Makeready’s guiding principles and benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload dishwashing machines.
• Wash specific items by hand (wooden cutting boards, large pots, delicate dishware and cutlery).
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly.
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses and utensils during peak hours.
• Check washing machines and report issues; ensure chemicals are refilled.
• Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles; perform additional duties as assigned.

This individual is a crucial part of the kitchen. This person knows that a successful culinary experience can only be created with sanitized and well-maintained equipment and facilities. Their primary role is to maintain a clean kitchen, properly organize the restaurant and back of house area, and assists with the preparation of food as need.

Requested Tasks

• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (i.e. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate dishware and cutlery)
• Store clean dishes, glasses and equipment accordingly
• Ensure there are enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensil, especially during peak hours
• Check washing machines' operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues make sure the chemicals are full at all times
• Adhere to Makeready's Guiding Principles Additional duties and assignments as assigned
• Required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to handle/feel/work with objects & tools
• Must be able to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds related to inventory
• Adhere to Makeready & property policies and procedures as defined
