Position Information
Classification Title Service/Maintenance Worker FLSA Non-Exempt FTE 1.00 Minimum Qualifications
Requires at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.
Preferred Qualifications Position Summary
This position is primarily responsible for operating and maintaining cleaning equipment and tools. Also responsible for washing dishes, chinaware, flatware, cutlery, crockery, kitchen vessels, sweeping, mopping floors, cleaning, and detailing equipment's etc. Maintains the kitchen, dish washing and back area in an inspection-ready condition in accordance with local authority and hotel guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies
- Foodservice background
- Knowledge of basic food terminology
- Basic math
- Basic computer skills
Physical Demands
- Standing for long periods in a work environment that includes dust, grease, noise, heat, freezing temperatures, slippery floors, etc.
- Lifting more than 25lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands, reaching/grasping, overhead work, pushing/pulling, handling of cleaning chemicals

Maintains a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment and provide comprehensive on-the-job training to unskilled workers
Percentage of time 40 Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for all cleaning, chemical usage, and relevant equipment maintenance in the dish room
Percentage of time 30 Duties/Responsibilities
Inventory all chinaware, glasses, and silverware while maintaining appropriate par levels

Keep the dish room properly organized and efficient
