The role of the Steward

BASIC PURPOSE: The Steward is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Stewarding team works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure that every piece of silver shines and every plate sparkles, that each outlet and function has an adequate supply of clean dishes and silverware, and that the kitchen and the “heart of house” remain clean and safe.

• Load, wash, dry, and replenish dishes, silverware, flatware and glassware for use in the hotel’s restaurants and event spaces.
• Operate industrial dishwashing machines and maintain equipment in an efficient and safe manner.
• Assist with inventory management and assign workload to team members.
• Help ensure the kitchen and dining areas remain clean, organized and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Perform other related duties as required by the Food & Beverage Manager.

Applicants must be comfortable working with industrial dishwashers and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. The role requires a flexible schedule, the ability to work all shifts, including weekends and holidays, and authorization to work in the United States.
