Position: Banquet Steward

The Banquet Steward is responsible for transporting equipment and food/beverage items to functions, maintaining cleanliness in food and beverage areas, and ensuring safety and sanitation standards are met. The role requires assisting with banquet setup, dishwashing, and overall upkeep of food service areas.

Responsibilities

1. Replenish kitchen line with clean pots, plates, and china.
2. Assist with banquet plate-ups as directed.
3. Establish dish-out and breakdown stations for banquet events; assist with dishwashing as needed.
4. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards; prepare for inspections.
5. Clean and sanitize ice machines and other equipment.
6. Maintain cleanliness and safety in all food preparation and service areas.
7. Sanitize shelving, carts, and trash receptacles.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

1. Hands-on food and beverage knowledge and hospitality experience.
2. Preferred experience in stewarding within a large convention hotel.
3. Excellent customer service skills, friendly demeanor, and problem-solving abilities.
4. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
5. Ability to mentor and develop team members.
