Job summary

The Baxter Hotel in Bozeman, MT is seeking a Steward for Bacchus Pub to support our high-volume dining operations. You will help maintain a clean, organized dishwashing area and assist with food prep and tray setups under the Chef's guidance.

Qualifications

• Maintains cleanliness by washing tableware and kitchen items.
• Operates the dishwasher and inspects items for cleanliness.
• Stores clean dishes and equipment properly.
• Maintains dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Ensures a clean and safe environment around the dishwashing area.
• Loads and unloads food and supplies.
• Cleans the garbage area and sorts/removes trash.
• Assists with food preparation and tray/banquet setup.
• Sweeps and mop floors.

Responsibilities

• The Steward maintains cleanliness by washing tableware and kitchen items, performing cleaning tasks as assigned, and storing items properly to maintain an organized environment. Report to Chef.
• Clean all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, and equipment according to sanitation and food safety guidelines.
• Operate the dishwasher and inspect all items for cleanliness.
• Store clean dishes and equipment in the appropriate areas.
• Maintain dishwashing and cleaning equipment.
• Ensure a clean and safe environment around the dishwashing area.
• Load and unload food and supplies.
• Clean the garbage area; sort and remove trash.
• Assist with food preparation and the setup of trays or banquet accessories as required.
