Job summary

HEI Hotels & Resorts seeks a Steward for The Westin at The Woodlands in The Woodlands, TX. This on-site, full-time role supports Stewarding operations and restaurant outlets through cleaning and organizing food and beverage areas.

The position emphasizes physical stamina, proper ware handling, and maintaining equipment to ensure smooth kitchen workflow. The role involves operating dish and burnishing equipment, polishing silver, and assisting cooks with pot and pan preparation.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of service ware to complement guest experience.
• Push/pull service carts weighing up to 150 pounds with or without accommodation.
• Transport heavy objects through a crowded room with or without accommodation.
• Grasp, lift and/or carry or move goods on a hand cart weighing up to 200 lbs.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Promptly sort soiled ware for the dish or pot machine.
• Wash all ware and replace in storage areas as designated.
• Keep dish machine properly cleaned and filled with water per hotel standards.
• Operate burnishing machine to ensure proper finish on silverware.
• De-tarnish and polish silver for proper appearance.
• Clean kettles, tilt skillets, pots and pans promptly and completely so cooks can carry out their work.
• Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
