Job summary

Levy, part of Compass Group USA, seeks a dedicated kitchen porter to maintain all kitchens and food distribution areas at America's Center & the Dome. You will clean, disinfect, and help with setup and delivery of supplies to support banquet events and daily operations.

Responsibilities include operating dishwashers and related equipment, washing surfaces, and ensuring safety protocols are followed throughout the shift.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs.
• Must be able to push/pull 50 lbs.
• Must wear slip resistant shoes.
• Exposed to hot and cold temperatures periodically.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps and mops floors to meet safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and other food prep surfaces.
• Transfers supplies between storage and work areas following safe lifting practices.
• Assists with banquet table and front of house setup as requested.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with sanitation and safety requirements.

Perform job duties required to maintain all kitchens and food distribution work areas, kitchen equipment is in clean and orderly condition at America's Center & the Dome.

Essential Duties and Responsibilies

• Sweeps and mops floors at appropriate intervals to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
• Operates large electric machines such as dishwashers, sanitizers, trash compactors, and glass crushers.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and meat blocks and all other food prep surfaces as assigned.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans in appropriate and assigned areas.
• Washes dishes, pots, pans, utensils and other food preparation machines and equipment.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas observing all safe lifting standards.
• Assists with banquet table and front of the house set up as requested.
• Assist with loading or unloading and delivering supplies and product.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment as needed.
• Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
