HM Alpha Hotels & Resorts' Division Marriott Del Mar is seeking a Kitchen Steward to support culinary and service teams by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized kitchen environment.

Responsibilities include dishwashing, floor sanitation, trash disposal, and stock rotation. A high school diploma is required, with preference for hospitality experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting at our San Diego location.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Familiarity with commercial dishwashing equipment is a plus.
• Experience in hospitality or kitchen support preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.
• Wash dishes, pots, pans, trays, and glassware.
• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen surfaces.
• Dispose of trash and garbage; clean and maintain garbage cans.
• Sort and process bottles and other recyclables.
• Polish silverware and utensils.
• Transport supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Assist with banquet table setup when required.
• Wash and peel vegetables or assist with basic food prep as needed.
• Store and rotate stock in designated areas, ensuring cleanliness.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Steward ensures the cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas, along with the proper care and maintenance of restaurant equipment and utensils. By supporting both culinary and service teams, this role promotes a safe, sanitary, and efficient environment that directly contributes to delivering exceptional guest experiences.

How You’ll Shape The Experience & Future

• Maintain cleanliness by sweeping and mopping floors regularly.

• Clean and sanitize worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen surfaces.
