Job summary

The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is seeking a Steward – Banquets to support banquet operations, food running, dish washing, and equipment care in a fast-paced environment. This safety‑related role emphasizes consistent attendance and adherence to department policies.

You will contribute to guest satisfaction by maintaining high sanitation standards and assisting other teams as needed while working varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older.
• Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Health Card or any required licenses/certifications.
• 1 year of experience with kitchen cleaning in a restaurant or banquet facility.
• Experience in service and sanitation training preferred.
• Clear and effective English communication, spoken and written.
• Strong interpersonal skills with guests and team members.
• Able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Overview

The primary responsibility of the Steward – Banquets is to perform food running, banquet functions, dish washing, pots and pans, trash removal, plate‑up, sanitation, polishing, and care of equipment. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort’s policies, practices, and procedures. This is a safety‑related position.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Provides proper support to other departments involved in department success.
• Food running, banquet functions, dish washing, pots and pans, trash removal, plate‑up, sanitation, polishing, and care of equipment.
• Provides a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client or customer.
• Works in an appropriate non‑hazardous manner, avoiding self‑injury and unsafe work methods.
• Provides a service for others, and provides expertise based on information keyed, gathered, studied, processed or reviewed.
• Possesses skills to expedite sanitation and food handling, and takes action based on information to complete a task or assignment or activity.
• Safety is an essential function of this job.
• Consistent and regular attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• 21 years of age.

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Health Card and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.
• 1 year of experience with kitchen cleaning in a restaurant or banquet facility.
• Demonstrated experience in service and sanitation training preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
• Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements
