CoralTree Hospitality is recruiting a well-rounded Steward for Pier Sixty-Six Resort in Fort Lauderdale. You will be integral to the culinary team, supporting stewarding and culinary arts in a high-volume setting under the Stewarding Manager.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of dish machines and assisting with delivery of hot/cold food.
• Setting up Banquet break down stations.
• Cleaning, sanitizing and storing all china, glassware, silver, silverware, pots and pans; ensuring cleanliness and recycling.
• Ensuring restaurant and banquet kitchens are stocked with equipment.
• Sanitizing and cleaning kitchen floors, recycle/trash room maintenance.
• Assisting with removing used linen and restocking linen.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Steward to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort team! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests. Reporting to the Stewarding Manager, you will support and provide excellent service within our culinary department. This high-volume position requires a passion for stewarding and culinary arts.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining cleanliness of all dish machines; assisting with delivering of all hot/cold food for all Food and Beverage outlets and Banquet operations.
• Setting up Banquet break down stations
• Cleaning, sanitizing and properly storing all china, glassware, silver, silverware, pots and pans in the hotel; ensuring that cleanliness, sanitation and recycling is of top priority
• Ensuring restaurant and banquet kitchens are consistently stocked with the proper amounts of all equipment
• Responsible for properly sanitizing and cleaning all kitchen floors, recycle bins and oil bins; maintaining the cleanliness of the Recycle/trash room at all times
• Assisting with removing used linen and restocking linen .

Physical Requirements

Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems. Position requires walking and giving direction most of the working day; must be able to stand and exert well‑paced mobility for up to 6 hours in length. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, squat, stretch and fulfill cleaning tasks occasionally. Must have finger dexterity to be able to operate office equipment. Temperature generally is moderate and controlled by hotel environmental systems; however, must be able to work in extreme temperatures like freezers (-10°F) and kitchens (+110°F). Must be able to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 200 lbs. occasionally. Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
