Job summary

Pier Sixty-Six Resort is seeking a Cafeteria Attendant to support our team in Fort Lauderdale. You will help maintain clean dining and dish areas, assist with inventory, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are met in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, food products, and food service equipment.
  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machinery a plus.
  • Knowledge of proper chemical handling a plus.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must possess valid Food Handler’s card upon hire.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain professional guest and team member relations.
  • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen, dish rooms, pot rooms, and the team member dining room.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment. Use equipment only as intended.
  • Clean all dirty tableware, pots, pans, and utensils from team member dining room.
  • Stock glassware and necessary supplies for the employee dining room.
  • Ensure the team member dining room is free of trash and meets food safety requirements.
  • Check the dishwasher for use.
  • Assist in inventory of China, glassware, and silver.
  • Provide chemicals and supplies for the station.
  • Polish silver and copper.
  • Report any malfunctions in the work area, including the dish machine.
  • Maintain safety in the area and report any safety hazards.
  • Maintain proper placement and organization of pots, pans, and utensils.
  • Maintain proper storage of dish dollies, glass racks, and flatware.
  • Handle all kitchen supplies with care.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including cross training.
  • Performs other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

We currently have an opportunity for a well-rounded and seasoned Cafeteria Attendant to join our Pier Sixty-Six Resort! You will be an integral member of the team that creates distinctively different and authentic culinary experiences for our guests.
