Job Title: StewardReports To: Executive ChefSummary: A steward assists in keeping a restaurant, bar, or lounge clean and sanitary, assists in cleaningdishes and tends to customers' needs. The steward may also perform basic administrativetasks, such as assisting the host/hostess, and giving out basic information.Responsibilities and Duties:Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging serviceAssist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experienceAssist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful wayEnsure the proper setup of all side stations in the outletHave knowledge of beverage lists and promotionsFollow outlet policies, procedures, and service standardsFollow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverageEnsure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and to the required standardSweep, mop, and polish the restaurantWash down the bar, clean and polish equipmentClean lights, fans, chairs, and tablesMake sure all areas of the bars and restaurants are clean, including sideboards.Clean and mop lounge bar and equipmentAssist barman with transporting stock from Department StoreroomsStock stipulated Food & Beverage areas with ice, as requiredMake sure bar and restaurant equipment is correctly storedTransport used linen to and from Housekeeping/Laundry for use in Food & Beverage service areasStock and tidy up the StoreroomThis job description represents an overview of the responsibilities for the above referenced position.
