Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a restaurant steward to help keep the dining areas clean and sanitary while assisting servers and guests. You will support the bar and lounge areas, set up stations, and ensure safety and sanitation standards are followed on site.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, 1 year restaurant experience, and strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills. Weekend shifts may be required in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service.
• Assist Food & Beverage Servers in all aspects of the dining experience.
• Assist guests regarding menu items in an informative and helpful way.
• Ensure the proper setup of all side stations in the outlet.
• Have knowledge of beverage lists and promotions.
• Follow outlet policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Follow safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
• Ensure the cleaning schedule is adhered to and to the required standard.
• Sweep, mop, and polish the restaurant.
• Wash down the bar, clean and polish equipment.
• Clean lights, fans, chairs, and tables.
• Make sure all areas of the bars and restaurants are clean.
• Clean and mop lounge bar and equipment.
• Assist barman with transporting stock from Storerooms.
• Stock stipulated Food & Beverage areas with ice, as required.
• Store bar and restaurant equipment properly.
• Transport used linen to and from Housekeeping/Laundry.
• Stock and tidy up the Storeroom.

Summary:A steward assists in keeping a restaurant, bar, or lounge clean and sanitary, assists in cleaning
dishes and tends to customers' needs. The steward may also perform basic administrative
tasks, such as assisting the host/hostess, and giving out basic information.

Responsibilities and Duties:
