Loews Coral Gables Hotel in Coral Gables, FL is seeking a dependable Steward to maintain top cleanliness in kitchen and back-of-house areas, working with culinary, banquet, and outlet teams to deliver seamless service.

You will wash and sanitize dishes, operate dishwashing machines, organize cleaned items, and keep work spaces sanitary. The role requires multi-tasking, physical stamina, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience in kitchen, cleaning, or hospitality preferred.
• Must multitask and provide internal/external customer service.
• Able to stand for long periods, lift heavy items, and operate cleaning equipment.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and manage time efficiently.
• Flexible to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, cookware, utensils, and glassware.
• Operate dishwashing machines and manual cleaning as needed.
• Organize and store cleaned items in designated areas.
• Keep kitchen floors, walls, counters, and equipment spotless and sanitary.
• Support culinary, banquet, and outlet teams by organizing equipment and supplies.
• Deliver clean plates, utensils, and other essentials to service areas.
• Discard trash, recycling, and food waste per hotel standards.
• Sanitize trash bins and maintain waste-management zones.
• Monitor cleaning-supply inventory and restock as needed.
• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment to the Executive Steward or Stewarding Supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and health guidelines.
• Attend mandatory trainings and meetings; maintain regular attendance.
• May work varying schedules and perform other duties.

• Report broken or malfunctioning equipment promptly to the Executive Steward or Stewarding Supervisor.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely and follow all established safety procedures.
• Adhere to health and sanitation guidelines, including proper food handling practices.
• Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure a safe, organized, and compliant work environment.
• Participate in regular safety training and team meetings to stay informed and prepared.
• Regular attendance in conformance with standards.
• May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs.
• Required to attend all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications Include:
