Job summary

Responsibilities

• Sets up the dishwashing area with racks, chemicals, supplies and carts.
• Scrapes food from dirty dishes.
• Places tableware in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans, and other cooking utensils and equipment.
• Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
• Washes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other kitchen or beverage areas as needed.
• Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers.
• Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
• Maintains the can wash area on loading dock in sanitary and neat condition.
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
• Organizes china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment and utensils and supplies.
• Follows sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Other duties may be assigned.
