Job summary

InterMed in Abilene, TX is seeking a Sterilizer Technician responsible for inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of medical sterilization equipment used in healthcare and laboratory settings.

You will perform preventative maintenance on steam autoclaves and other infection-control systems, document service activities, support clinical operations, and ensure compliance with manufacturer specs and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of two years of related experience or equivalent military education or training.

Responsibilities

• Complete repair service work, and preventative maintenance on sterilizers, Washers, and Ultrasonic cleaners.
• Resolves issues with medical equipment and keeps detailed records of all work-related activities.
• Perform preventative and repair maintenance including disassembling, replacing or repairing defective parts, rewiring and reassembling as required on medical equipment.
• Performs equipment installs and de-installs as necessary.
• Provides customer support of equipment repair and troubleshooting.
• Cleans, prepare parts and assemblies for service & refurbishing.
• Works and interacts with current and prospective clients, other employees, sales representatives, vendors, medical personnel, guests, and visitors.
• Work with equipment to meet regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties asassigned.
